The head of the Galewice Commune is Mr. Piotr Kołodziej.
The commune head is elected in direct elections for a period of five years, manages the current affairs of the commune, implements the resolutions of the Commune Council in Galewice and represents it outside.
He performs tasks with the help of his office.The commune head manages heads of the commune's organizational units:

4. Primary School in Niwiska
5. Primary School in Osiek
6. Primary School in Węglewice
7. Primary School in Ostrowek with branch in Biadaszki
